What’s Vagabond Vacations?

Improve your photography skills, upgrade your portfolio, or shoot something you’ve never shot before, by spending an entire week with us in a breathtaking location. We will go on daily adventures to the most unique photo locations, where you can learn directly from pro photographers and your peers, while we immerse ourselves in our favorite photography genres (glamour, boudoir, fashion, portrait, swimsuit, lingerie, implied, artnu). You’ll get to live the creative experience of a lifetime, with your new like-minded friends that you’ll soon call family.

Who is the organizer?

Hi there, my name is Jc Vagabond and I've been a full-time photographer for many years now. During this time, I've managed to build a successful YouTube channel with over 60K subscribers. I've also had the pleasure of working with many international brands, such as Playboy, Vixen, and Tomorrowland, in a variety of photography fields, including social media content, TV shows, and magazine editorials. In particular, I have been producing videos and behind-the-scenes vlogs about my photography journey for the European Playboy TV channel. Boudoir and glamour photography have been my passion from the moment I picked up a camera. It's been an incredible ride, full of lessons, and I'm excited to share my experiences with you. My hope is that you will leave feeling more inspired, more fulfilled, and ready to embrace your own Vagabond spirit!

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, you can cancel your reservation up to 1 month prior to the event for ANY reason, or up to the date of the event for Covid-related issues. In both cases, we will offer you a credit for the amount of your original reservation, usable for any future Vagabond Vacations event, within 1 year of the canceled event date. This transfer of booking is free of charge.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes, we offer the option of paying in 2 separate installments.

How much time do I need to commit to the event?

Since the event takes place during a full week, you will be quite busy for the full 7 days. That doesn’t mean you won’t have any downtime to relax or attend to your obligations. But we wouldn’t advise you to make big plans, you might be exhausted from the busy days.

What costs am I responsible for myself?

Flight and meals are not included. Everything else: relax, we got you covered.

What makes Vagabond Vacations unique?

• We provide bigger groups of muses and give you the opportunity to shoot with ALL of them.

• The Vacations take place in the most astonishing places in the world. We go the extra mile on each destination by organizing daily excursions to the best - often adventurous - shooting spots that the destination has to offer.

• We have renowned pro photographers teaching you the ‘secret sauce’ in an organic manner. We are not a super technical-oriented workshop. It’s all about leveling up through the experience.

• We sprinkle Vagabond's creative playfulness throughout the shoots. We’ll share our quirky ideas and trigger what is already inside you lurking underneath the surface. If not the locations then for sure the playful contexts that we create will inspire you and unlock your creative potential. By the end of the week, you’ll be bursting with new ideas and energy.

• We always stay in unique accommodations with the entire group.

• You will have the opportunity to be featured in the Vagabond Vlogs, which are aired on PlayboyTV and on our Youtube channel with 60K subs and 100K monthly views.

• We limit our groups to a maximum of 10 photographers, in order to give a much more personal and valuable experience than most trips out there. This also allows you and your peers to become friends for life.

What does the schedule look like?

The general duration of our events is 1 full week. During this time we will provide accommodations and a detailed schedule with photo excursions and activities. You’ll be welcomed on day one and we’ll part ways at the end of the final day. As for the schedule, we always aim for a nice balance between going to insane locations every day with the entire group and having some cool extra activities outside of shooting, but also giving everyone enough downtime to enjoy a coconut by the pool or explore the lively city center. Depending on the level of the attendees, we would give a more instructional workshop at the start, and a follow-up photo review session in the middle to give pointers. The detailed schedule will be shared with attendees 2 weeks prior to the event.

What level of skill do I need to have?

To participate in our Vagabond Vacations, we suggest that you have some experience using your camera, even if it's mostly on automatic settings. However, if you're completely new to photography, our Vagabond Weekend events might be more suitable for you. These events are shorter, have smaller groups, and focus more on technical skills. Our Vagabond Vacations are all about creating an enjoyable experience, building a valuable portfolio, and making meaningful connections with other photographers. We offer educational value in an organic manner, which means our professional photographers are always available to support you, answer your questions, or even let you shadow them as a great way to learn. If you have any doubts about your skill level, don’t hesitate to write us!

Will I be able to shoot with all the muses?

At Vagabond Vacations we are very proud of our chill and friendly vibe. This isn’t one of the events where models have these high-fancy attitudes, bah! All muses will be available to shoot with you. Especially during our famous group shoots you’ll be able to Shoot ‘Em All (at once).

Is there any partying planned with the entire group?

During Vagabond Vacations, parties may happen spontaneously, but they are not officially scheduled as part of the vacation itinerary. If you are mostly on the lookout for parties, there are other events out there that may suit your preferences. Typically, evenings during Vagabond Vacations involve bonding over drinks and stories with the group at the lodging compound, or going out together if that's what everyone feels like doing. However, please note that we do not arrange or coordinate these parties.

Will Jc and the Vagabond crew be there?

We are true Vagabonds to the bone. When you join a Vacation, we will be living, shooting, and having fun together for an entire week. You get to experience the Vagabond lifestyle and become part of the Vagabond family for life. So yes, you will be living between and among Vagabonds, including Jc and the rest of the crew – and become a Vagabond yourself in the process.

What gear should I bring?

You are free to take any of your gear with you, based on your personal preferences. We do recommend staying as portable as possible, as we tend to explore more unique and sometimes harder-to-get to areas. As a rule of thumb we would recommend that all your gear fits in a backpack. Many of the locations might be too challenging to drag along and set up lighting stands for example. But if you insist, who are we to not let you use your toys… as long as we don't have to carry them for you – been there, done that, not again! I mean jeez, my back still hurts…

Who will decide my roomie if I go for a shared room?

Before the Vagabond event begins, the crew will match roommates together, in case you opted for a shared room. We take the time to chat with everyone beforehand to get a sense of who you are, so no need to worry. We're a friendly, open-minded group, and we encourage you to get to know your fellow Vagabonds. This is a great opportunity to connect with others and learn from different perspectives and opinions. Just to clarify, we do match up photographers with photographers and models with models: we're not starting a Vagabond dating agency.
